He is a Substance Use Counselor and a NAMA Certified Anger Management Specialist-I. He successfully completed the Addiction Counselor Education Program at University of Massachusetts Boston and facilitates a men’s anger management group at Modern Assistance.

Jay is also a member of the Employee Assistance Professionals Association and holds their certification (CEAP). Jay is formerly the EAP coordinator for The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers for Boston, Providence, RI, and Hartford, CT out of LL 1726 Logan Airport. Jay studied and successfully completed both EAP I and EAP II at the William W. Winpsinger Education & Technology Center in Hollywood, MD.

He also brings with him experience and knowledge of union labor law, the National Labor Relations Act, and the Railway Labor Act having been elected to and serving on the Grievance Committee and as a union steward for the Machinists Union US Airways Boston. Jay is currently pursuing a degree in psychology. Jay’s specialties include substance use disorders and anger management.
