Employee Screening Services.

Modern Assistance understands that a productive and safe workforce begins with a drug-free workplace.

We have extensive experience in designing and implementing drug-free workplace programs for service and trade sector unions, as well as private employers and contractors who require Drug-Free Workplace Compliance. Our staff is nationally accredited for the administration of Drug and Alcohol Testing Programs by DATIA and are Substance Abuse Professionals (SAP) certified by the Department of Transportation to conduct evaluations.

We provide a full spectrum of services, including DOT and non-DOT workplace drug and alcohol testing, result interpretation, substance use evaluations, substance use treatment, fitness for duty assessments, and training for supervisors and employees.

Urine Testing

Modern Assistance provides DOT and non-DOT Urine collection and testing. We utilize Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) certified laboratories for all DOT Testing.

We can provide standard and customized urine drug testing panels. Specimen validity testing is available to detect adulterants or specimen substitution resulting from a donor’s attempts to mask drug use. Expanded profiles are also available.

Oral Fluid Testing

Modern Assistance’s oral fluid drug testing program allows for easy and convenient collection of samples that can be done in almost any setting and reduces the possibility of adulteration as it is performed in the presence of an observer.

The oral fluid collection is directly observed, making it less susceptible to specimen adulteration. The donor simply opens the sealed collection device, places it in his or her mouth, and the collector transfers the specimen into the transport tube for shipment to the laboratory.
