Who Is Eligible?
Covered members and their dependents may see one of Modern Assistance’s therapists, at no cost to you.

Mental Health, Substance Abuse, stress management, couples’ counseling, work-life balance issues, emotional issues, grief counseling, family counseling.
Assessments & Referral
We assess members and their dependents to provide the best and most accurate care that fits the individual needs of the person. If a client needs services that are beyond the scope that Modern Assistance Programs provides, referrals to other agencies in the community are made.
Modern Assistance helps coordinate community services for clients in need of mental health, substance use issues, relationships issues and work life problems. Case managers help clients in assessing the need and implementation of case plans whether they are inpatient or outpatient. Our Case Managers can help you with the tasks of:
- Assessing your needs
- Treatment planning
- Implementing a case plan
- Regular reviews
Workplace Trauma Intervention
When traumatic events occur in the workplace it is important for the safety and well-being of employees to have immediate and effective intervention services. Modern Assistance provides staff training, critical incident debriefing, and support as well as client centered follow up care after a workplace trauma. Modern Assistance can provide guidance and assistance in resolving conflict in the workplace. We work with individuals or groups to co-create a strategy to alleviate distress and facilitate a means to achieving a healthy workplace. Many scenarios can be resolved with one consultation meeting. At times subsequent interventions may need to be arranged.
