She works with alternative care providers, union members, and their families to ensure the highest quality of care and the effective use of funds.

Prior to her current role, Nelly was a case manager for outpatient mental health and substance abuse along with managing the alternative care program. She is a Certified Group Leader of The Chronic Pain Self-Management Program and The Chronic Disease Self-Management Program by the Stanford University Patient Education Research Center.

She is also a certified Alcohol/Chemical Dependent Counselor and a Certified Medical Interpreter. She is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. Nelly is also a seasoned career coach.
