Company deepens leadership’s direct role in client care as four Partners take a personal stake in its future

QUINCY, Mass., September 14, 2026. Modern Assistance is a leading provider of Employee Assistance Program services to organized labor, municipalities, and private employers across the United States. Whether it’s a national Taft-Hartley Fund or a local association, Modern Assistance’s new ownership structure reflects one core belief: leadership should stay directly connected to the people it serves.

Effective immediately, Michael Gamsby (Executive Director), Shaun Gavin (Chief Clinical Officer), and Nick Scott (Chief Operations Officer) have joined John Christian (President and CEO) as Partners of Modern Assistance. Christian will serve as Managing Partner.

As Modern Assistance has grown, the four Partners have taken on a direct stake in the company, reflecting their ongoing role in delivering care and running day to day operations for clients. All four remain actively involved in the care and support provided across the organization’s full client base.
